Go Ask Alice Smoosh

A few months ago, I saw the movie Suckerpunch and although I thought it to be quite misogynistic, the look and sound of the film captivated me. The whole aesthetic of the film was just to my liking. I bought the soundtrack from iTunes and listen to it like crack cocaine. The darker notes of the song "White Rabbit" by Emiliana Torrini really hit the sweet spot (original by Jefferson Airplane, "Go Ask Alice"). I was thinking of drawing a smoosh with chocolate cake and suddenly while sitting on the couch with my honey it came to me...chocolate cake, lipstick, razer blades...and Alice. The song resonating in my head...

One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all

Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall
And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall

Tell them a hookah-Smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call
Call Alice when she was just small
When the men on the chess board get up and tell you where to go

And you just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving slow
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know
When logic and proportion
Have fallen SLOPPY dead
And the white knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's LOST her head
Remember what the dormouse said

Feed your head
Feed your head

Hello Jen!
Love these 'smoosh' designs you have created. They look like embroidery patters.

When logic and proportion have fallen, sloppy dead. One of my all time favorite lyric lines.
