Snow White goes to the Park

I'm working on a new canvas and idea right now that I am so excited about. Park commentary on living here in Newport Beach and part autobiographical, this painting will combine all the things I love about the Disney princesses, but with a modern twist. Here is a sketch of my favorite princess, Snow White, as a new mom. What ever happened to the princesses when they got married and became mommies? What archetypes would they fulfill in their new role? What about living here in the "Gilded Ghetto?" How do I feel being a mom in this area? At times, I feel like I'm just one of the gang, but at other times, I feel like I don't fit in, the renegade pink-hair dyed mommy with tattoos and just one child.

Without giving too much away, this painting is going to say a lot. It's going to be pointed, it's going to be funny and it's going to be Low Brow (my favorite genre of painting).

The canvas is 30" x 40." I'm working from the background forward, so right now the sky is in, some clouds and I'm working on a row of castles. One for each princess in the painting.

Guess who Snow White is representing?
